Acknowledgements
Thanks to all the contributors to this Festschrift.
Here it is appropriate to mention two Shearsman poets who died shortly before this Festschrift appeared: Lee Harwood (6 June 1939 – 26 July 2015) and Tessa Ransford (July 8, 1938 – September 2, 2015). We mourn their passing, salute their lives and celebrate their ever-living work. We are glad and proud that they sent contributions to this anthology. Thanks to them each and both.
It has been a pleasure to be part of such a fine and dedicated editorial team in compiling this Festschrift. Martin Anderson, Kelvin Corcoran, Lucy Hamilton, Aidan Semmens and Lynda Waters have been generous to a fault in giving their time, friendship, work and co-operation. Their varied skills have been crucial for a positive outcome. Above all, without Aidan Semmens’ foresight and expertise, not to mention his huge investment of time and energy in designing and building this website, it would not have been possible to publish this Festschrift at all. In contacting subscribers and monitoring editorial responses in the most tactful and gentle of ways, and in organising the entire launch event, Lynda Waters’ contribution has been particular and irreplaceable. Finally, thanks to Lynda for her help in researching the Editorial, and to all the editors and to Anthony Rudolf for their comments and suggestions on the near-final version.
